What is it?
This patient had a skeletal Class II jaw relationship with a significant overjet (upper front teeth protruding 8.5mm ahead of the lowers) — a discrepancy that would typically be indicated for orthognathic (jaw) surgery for full correction. The patient wished to avoid both surgery and extractions, so treatment focused on dental camouflage: aligning the teeth and reducing the overjet using Invisalign with interproximal reduction (IPR) for space. After 10 months, overjet was reduced from 8.5mm to 6mm. Further treatment has been advised to complete the correction — this page reflects the current stage of an ongoing case.
